A Yearly Checkup for Your Coverage
Medicare plans change every year. Premiums move, drug lists shift, doctors join or leave networks and copays go up or down. A plan that fit perfectly last January may not fit next year.
An annual review is a short conversation, usually in the fall, where we look at your plan's changes for the coming year and compare them with other options we offer. For many people the answer is to stay put, and that is a fine outcome.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.
Start With Your Annual Notice of Change
Each fall, before October begins, your Part C or drug plan sends a booklet called the Annual Notice of Change. Inside is every adjustment for the new year: monthly price, deductible, formulary moves and network shifts.
Many people set it aside unopened. Keep it near the phone and bring it to your review. We go through the changes that actually affect you.
What We Check Each Fall
- Whether your doctors and hospitals remain in network for next year
- How your current medicines are covered, and their tier and price
- What the plan charges monthly, up front and at most for the whole year
- Your pharmacy's status as preferred or standard
- Changes to dental, vision, hearing or other extras you use
We also ask about changes in your own life. A new diagnosis, a move, new medicines or a change in income can make another plan a better fit.
Key Dates to Remember
Changes are open between mid-October and December 7, and whatever you pick starts with the new year. Part C members get a second, smaller chance during the first quarter: one move to a different Advantage plan, or back to the federal program.
Mark these dates on your calendar. Many Perth Amboy residents schedule a review in late October, after notices arrive and before the holidays.
When It Makes Sense to Change
We only suggest a change when it clearly helps you, such as lower total costs, better coverage for your medicines or keeping a doctor who is leaving your network. If your current plan is still the right one, we tell you that directly. When the budget is stretched, we look at whether you might qualify for state or federal savings programs.
Sit Down With Us Over the Phone, Free
Have your pill bottles or medicine list close by. We hold what you carry now against the plans we represent and translate the gap into dollars and doctor access. Most calls wrap up in roughly half an hour, nothing gets signed on the spot, and you can get to know our agency beforehand.
